Brief Introduction of Yanshan Branch, BRICI, Sinopec

Yanshan branch of BRICI, used to belong to Yanshan Company (Beijing) of Sinopec, was founded on September 15th in 1971 and was then transferred integrally into Beijing research institute of chemical industry (BRICI) of Sinopec as a branch institute on April 28th in 2010. We now have 350 employees including 276 professionals and technicians. Yanshan branch, covering a projected area of 300 thousand square meters and having a construction area of 60 thousand square meters, possesses over 80 sets of laboratorial and mode test equipments, 16 pilot plants and more than 70 sets of large instruments, whose original and present value of fixed assets count up to 315 million and 88 million RMB, respectively.

We have Research Department of Silver Catalyst, Fine Chemical, Synthetic Rubber, Rubber Processing and Applications, and No. 8th research department, Analysis Center, Information Center to bear scientific, technologic, and engineering research. Office of the President, Mass Work Department, together with Scientific Research Management Department, Human Resources Department, HSE Department, Department of Finance, Comprehensive Management Department, and Mass Work Department, execute the research and business administration, and a Procurement and Logistics Management Center to run rear-service and research guarantee.

On our main research fields covering synthetic rubber, silver catalyst and basic organic synthesis, we undertook 87 research projects in 2016, which include two national projects, 46 Sinopec projects, 35 BRICI projects, two crosswise projects and two projects of technical service.​​
