Program Introduction:

1-Hexeneis an important comonomer for polyolefin and raw material for some other finechemicals. Ethylene trimerization to 1-hexene is a process in which ethylene isconverted to 1-hexene based on chromium catalyst. This technology possesseshigh selectivity and good product quality. A 50 kt/a commercialplant of 1-hexene was built in 2007.  ‘50kt/a scale technology of ethylene trimerizationto 1-hexene’ won the first prize ofthe science and technology progress of Sinopec in 2009，and National second prize of the technology inventionaward in 2015.
