SBS Thermoplastic Elastomer Industrial Technology

SBSthermoplastic elastomer is a block copolymer synthesized from two monomers ofstyrene (S) and butadiene (B). SBS is widely used in shoes, adhesives, plasticsand asphalt modification, as well as the manufacture of machine parts and otherproducts. SBS thermoplastic elastomer industrial technology has been licensedto customers at home and abroad, such as Baling Petrochemical, YanshanPetrochemical, Italy Enichem Company and British Polydora Company.

SBS for asphalt modification in widetemperature range

SBS1301 is a linear polymer with 30% of styrene content(wt%), the number average molecular weight of 8 to 100 thousand, the melt indexof 1 to 4g/10min and the hardness of 70 to 80. Adding a proper content ofSBS1301 in the asphalt can improve the performance of asphalt, such astemperature sensitivity, softening point and ductility.

The asphalt modification with SBS1301 can reduce thetemperature sensitivity of asphalt materials, improve the softening point,reduce the brittle temperature, improve asphalt cohesion and elasticity, andincrease anti erosion ability, the crack resistance and aging properties.

 SBS for high compatibility asphalt modification

SBS2301 has good storage stability good compatibilitywith matrix asphalt which improves the performance of asphalt better, coupledwith two blocks of SB.  The product hasbeen manufactured in Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical. The application resultsshow that the compatibility between SBS2301 and asphalt is better than that ofother grades of SBS. The performance of modified asphalt is completely up to ormore than that of similar foreign products.

 Star SBSforasphalt modification

SBS4303 is a kind of star structure product with styrenecontent of 45%, used to improve the penetration rate of modified asphalt.Compared with the linear SBS, penetration rate of asphalt modified with SBS4303is lower.

SBS4303 has been completed industrial production inSinopec Yanshan Petrochemical, is one of its flagship brand.

 Star SBS for shoemaking

SBS4402 has the advantages of good low temperatureflexibility, low solution viscosity, quick drying property, can dissolve inmany hydrocarbon solvents, has good elasticity and adhesive strength used foradhesive, suitable for general-purpose, pressure-sensitive, laminated type,contact type and other types of adhesives. At the same time, SBS4402 is a kindof excellent shoe sole material, which has the advantages of light weight,comfortable wearing and good anti wetting performance.

 Staroil-extended SBS for shoemaking

SBS4452is a star oil-filled block grade with good wear resistance as star polymer. Dueto the introduction of the oil filling process, SBS4452 also has goodprocessability. It has the advantages of low cost, simple process, excellentphysical and mechanical properties and so on used for the sole material.

 greenhigh St oil-extended SBS for shoemaking

SBS4542is a kind of star shaped oil filled and high styrene content grade with newgreen antioxidant, mainly for export. Due to the introduction of the oilfilling process, SBS4452 also has good processability. It has the advantages oflow cost, simple process, excellent physical and mechanical properties and soon used for the sole material.

 greenlow St oil-extended SBS for shoemaking

SBS4442 is a kind of star block shaped oil filled andlow styrene content grade with new green antioxidant, mainly for export becauseof good low-temperature performance. Due to the introduction of the oil fillingprocess, SBS4442 also has good processability. It has the advantages of lowcost, simple process, excellent physical and mechanical properties and so onused for the sole material.
