SSBRis random copolymer which is manufactured with anionic solution polymerizationprocess in hydrocarbon solvent by butadiene and styrene as monomers, alkyllithium as initiator, mainly used in high performance tire.
Theindustrial production technology of SSBR consists of two kinds of technicalschemes: batch processing and continuous processing. Continuous processing SSBRhas become one of the development directions of energy-saving green rubberbecause of its stable product quality, easy control of process conditions andwide molecular weight distribution.

The batch process with green filling oil type SSBR for low rollingresistance tire
SSBR2535E is a new fillingoil type product for ideal tire tread, which has high vinyl content and endgroup of silicone modified. SSBR2535E industrial technology has been appliedfor the national patent. This technique make the vinyl content of butadienechain in 60~65%. The product has wide molecular weight distribution and isfilled with environment-friendly aromatic oil so that the good processability,physical and mechanical properties can be received with the characteristics ofenvironmental protection and low energy consumption in tires.
The industrial trialproduction of SSBR2535E has been made in the SBR plant of Sinopec Yanshanbranch rubber factory No.1. The evaluation results by tire enterprises both athome and abroad show that SSBR2535E meets the requirements of green tire withgood affinity with white carbon black, and excellent low rolling resistanceperformance.
Continuous process highly-branched SSBR for green tire
Continuous process SSBRT2835M is filling environment-friendly oil type product for green energy-savingtire tread or rubber products, which has highly-branched structure, high Mooneyviscosity and combined styrene content, and medium vinyl content.
The SSBRT2835M is a randomcopolymer with medium vinyl content and specific sequence structure, adjustedby a novel polar structure modifier under high temperature condition.
The product features highbranched structure, high Mooney viscosity with the increasing of stressrelaxation time. So the vulcanized rubber has high tensile properties, highelastic properties and low hysteresis properties, especially fit for tiretread. At the same time, the product has excellent processing properties, goodmechanical properties, outstanding brake and wear resistance.
Styrene butadiene rubber for high gloss and highflow ABS modification
BlockSBR3102 (LBS3102) is partly branched linear block copolymer of styrene andbutadiene with high Mooney viscosity and low solution viscosity, and preferredfor modification of high fluidity and high gloss continuous bulk ABS. LBS3102has good compatibility with ABS resin, short dissolution time in styrene, lowsolution viscosity, and the particle size of rubber particles is less than 1mm,which has high gloss and high rigidity. In the continuous bulk ABS modificationsystem, LBS3102 and LCBR1302 are two component systems. LBS3102 is used as thesmall particle size composition to improve the luster of the material andinduce and terminate the crazing.
LBS3102has completed the industrialization trial production, and has been applied onthe 200 kt ABS plant in Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Company. The applicationresults show that the reaction system viscosity is low, the reaction parameterscontrol is normal and the ABS products can meet the requirements of downstreamusers after replacement.
