Asmodified varieties of IIR, BIIR is the preferred material of tubeless tyreairtight layer, but also medical rubber plug, maintaining excellent airtightness of IIR and overcoming the slow curing rate and poor performance ofself-adhesive and mutual viscosity. All the time HIIR technology has beenmonopolized by ExxonMobil and Lanxess (formerly Bayer), which accounts for 80%of the world's total output, and has never been transferred abroad. Thedomestic BIIR all depended on import before the domestic plant was put intoproduction, and the price remained high for a long time.
IIRand BIIR were always focused on in Yanshan branch of BRICI, including basicresearch, bench scale experiment, engineering enlargement and applicationresearch. 30000 tpy BIIR commercial plant with Sinopec independent technology,which is put into production successfully in Oct. 2010, filled the gaps indomestic production and came to the end of the monopoly of foreign products inthe domestic market. At the same time it also safeguarded our industry securitywhich has important strategic significance.
Currently,there are two brands on the market, namely BIIR2032 and BIIR2046. The specialgrades are also developing actively.
