May 18 - 30, Branch went to the Sino-KoreanEthylene Wuhan Petrochemical to help solve technical problems.

Carbon five full hydrogenation catalyst wassuccessfully put into industrial application in Wuhan Petrochemical raffinatecarbon five hydrogenation device in 2016. Recently, the content of diene in theraw materials of the device had increased dramatically, up to 45 wt%, severelyexceeded the limit, and the product after hydrogenation couldn’t meet therequirements of the downstream device, caused the stop of the device.

Technical staff of Branch went to thescene, and studied the analysis data of raw materials and product. They proposeda solution of adjusting the process parameters, and put forward countermeasuresfor the possible problems. After the device is restart-up, the product can meetthe requirements of the downstream device.
